There are many times where I am...well, rushed...something happens and I can't do my normal routine of waking up, working out, and spending an hour or so reading and meditating on my favorite spiritual book of all time, The Course in Miracles. I know that if I don't give my mind and heart to God within the first few hours of a new day, I am likely to rely on my own decisions and that can be quite tragic.
Individually as well as collectively.
That is why I am so grateful for this rather entertaining CD by Alisa Amor. Not only is the music fantastic, but each song is based on a workbook lesson by the Course in Miracles:
1. God in His Mercy Wills That I Be Saved
2. I Rule My Mind Which I Must Rule
3. Now Would I Be As God Created Me
4. On My Decision All Salvation Rests
5. This Holy Instant Is Salvation Come
6. Without Forgiveness I Will Still Be Blind
7. I Am in Need of Nothing but the Truth
8. My Self Is Ruler of the Universe
9. My Heart Is Beating in the Peace of God
10. Let All Things Be Exactly As They Are
11. My Holiness Shines Bright and Clear Today
12. Only An Instant Does This World Endure
I don't even have to "actively listen" to the words to know that even as I'm eating my breakfast, showering, getting my lunch ready, feeding the dog and going out the door the music and the lessons are going deep into my psyche and during the day I'll remember little snippets of a song which is also a lesson and I'll go right back to letting the Holy Spirit decide for me.
The skeptic might say, "Oh, well, that's a form of brainwashing..."
You bet. But I would rather my mind be cleansed in Love and Forgiveness than with fear and separation. Besides, we're all "brainwashed". We all believe we are these bodies rather than remembering the Truth that we are extensions of God's Eternal Light.
Alisa's CD helps one remember that, really, we are in need of nothing but the Truth and this really is the Truth that frees us into being just as God created us to be.
So, Alisa, if you happen to read this review, I send you Christ's Holy Love and I am grateful that you are letting God move and groove through you in such wondrous ways.
